All-Star Yoga Wear Brands to Try

…Other Than Lululemon

When I buy activewear I’m looking for something I can wear to yoga, barre, or pilates but also to the grocery store, airport, or just to lounge around in. Yes I know, Lululemon leggings are actually amazing, but are people aware that there are other activewear brands out there?! There are soo many under-the-radar athletic brands that I love and are definitely worth trying.

A Few of My Favorites

Adidas x Stella McCartney – Fashion meets fitness. If you’re looking for an effortlessly fashionable gym bag, let me introduce Stella McCartney: daughter of Paul McCartney, high-end fashion designer, animal rights activist who doesn’t use ANY real leather making her $1000 handbags. Luckily her athletic apparel and bags from her collaboration with Adidas are much more affordable. She’s one of few major designers continuously bringing us fashion-forward activewear. Shop her athletic line here.

alo – I honestly want everything from this yoga brand. This is probably my all-time favorite line for everything from leggings and yoga tops to sports bras and fashion-forward jackets that can be worn from the gym to dinner. Alo leggings are super soft, stretchy, and the perfect thickness! Living in Chicago, I lived in alo leggings all year round (specifically these) because they were just thick enough to wear in the fall/winter.

Spiritual Gangster – My go-to brand for cute, casual tops and bottoms with ‘SPIRITUAL GANGSTER’ or motivational sayings plastered on the front. I love the vibe of this brand and the fact that you can wear their tops anywhere, not just to workout.

NUX – The fabrics used in NUX apparel literally conform to your body! They’re amazing for yoga, barre, and pilates – especially if you like yoga pants that feel like they just suck everything in!

Teeki – I get asked about my teeki leggings almost everywhere I go. The material is thinner, super soft, and silky feeling which makes them perfect for yoga. What stands out about teeki leggings is the bold colors & prints that they do – check out their Instagram.

Forever21 – Believe it or not…Forever21 actually has some really amazing activewear and yoga attire. My only complaint is their horrible cardboard-like garment tags that need to be cut out. I have leggings, sports bras, tops, and even a yoga mat from Forever21 and they’re SO cheap – but still comfy!

Carbon38 – This online retailer carries a variety of yoga and athletic brands including alo, Stella McCartney, Beyond Yoga, and more.

Revolve – Is there anything Revolve doesn’t have? They also carry most of the brands I’ve mentioned above, and then some.
